Practical Fishkeeping: George Farmer's nano tank
This is a great example from Practical Fishkeeping of a high tech nano tank. It's small, but absolutely beautiful! If you'd like to read more about the setup of this aquarium, check out George's Nano Aquarium Journal.
It's lovely! Very green. The only 2 things that sort of bothered me was 1. the fish seem to be struggling against "current". I guess if they're a species who's habitat is a fast flowing stream this isn't a problem though. And 2. from an aesthetic point of view, the bulky looking machines around the tank bother me. I guess the one on the right is a co2 injecter? Call me an amateur but I prefer that the tank blend in with the surroundings, without too many wires and "machines". I'm a bit of a neat-nic about my house...and I'm female so...you know how we are about decorating. ;-)
Awesome. I just bought a 20 gallon Mega wall fish tank from www.bayshoreaquarium.com. Killer wall aquarium (it's 6 feet long and 3 feet tall!). I changed out the light and did a few minor tweaks, but I'm very happy with my coral reef wall fish tank.
